"Battle"

There were ten-thousand soldiers
At war in my head,
Commanders, their regiments,
But now they're all dead.

It ended the same way
Most wars tend to,
With nothing changed,
And nothing new,

Except for the loss of ten-thousand lives,
Felt only by families, children and wives.
You can't say the accomplished feat was small,
There were ten-thousand soldiers...
We killed them all.
