End of the long and beaten track,
Some saw this day and they turned back.
After this grand finale then everything's gone,
But the light of day still touches everyone.

Opened your eyes for the first time to see,
And you asked the question about who you'd be.
Looking back and you see that it's all in the past,
Those old days were too perfect to last.

Nothing lasts forever,
Sooner or later it's all gonna change,
But it's nice to look deep every once in a while,

Hasn't been much growth in this world of yours,
New work that's made from the same old chores.
